The variation is quite significant with the Alabama, Arkansas, and Tennessee coming in last with ** trips per 100 people each, which is about *** times less than that seen in the District of Columbia.
This is the latest reported data in a trend of decline in walking activity, where some areas have witnessed declines of up to nearly ** percent since 2019 before the pandemic.
