The drinks sub-sector includes pubs, taverns, and bars, as well as liquor retailing businesses.
The leisure and entertainment sub-sector includes establishments with activities pertaining to motion picture exhibitions, creative and performing arts, sports and physical recreation, horse and dog racing, amusement and other recreation, gambling, clubs, and brothels.
In financial year 2023, over **** thousand establishments in New South Wales, Australia were a part of the state's core night time economy (NTE). Victoria had the second-highest number of establishments contributing to Australia's core night time economy.
