Sub-Saharan Africa - Excluding Angola and Comoros; Oceania - Including Australia, Papua New Guinea and New Zealand but excluding the islands of Oceania; Northern America and Europe - Excluding United States of America, Belarus, Denmark, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Norway, Russian Federation and Switzerland; Latin America and the Caribbean - Excluding Barbados and Grenada; Eastern Asia and South-eastern Asia - Excluding Japan, Republic of Korea, Brunei Darussalam and Singapore; Central Asia and Southern Asia - Excluding the Maldives.
Between 2015 and 2019, the estimated proportion of land degradation in Sub-Saharan Africa increased from *** percent to percent. This was the fastest rate of degradation over this period when compared to other regions. The region with the largest proportion of land degradation is Eastern Asia and South-eastern Asia, at almost ** ±è±ð°ù³¦±ð²Ô³Ù.Ìý
