In 2023, when asked about the cyber security initiatives implemented by their organization, nearly one-fourth of respondents worldwide stated that their company had created or improved Business Unit Information Security Officer (BISO) roles and was realizing benefits. In addition, a total of 47 percent of respondents mentioned that their organization was using large language models or generative artificial intelligence in risk detection and mitigation. Meanwhile, using data to quantify cyber risks and allocate cyber budgets constituted an initiative already implemented by 54 percent of respondents' companies.
