According to a 2023 survey on public views on sustainability in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, ** percent of respondents in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) believed that the economy should be prioritized over the environment. On the other hand, the greater majority in Morocco favored the environment over the economy. Sustainability practices requiring low to medium effort were prioritized by respondents.
