According to a survey carried out among five European countries in 2022, cancer was the most concerning health condition for respondents getting older in Germany, Spain, and Italy. In the Netherlands and the United Kingdom dementia was the primary concern when aging. Heart disease was the third most concerning health condition in every country even though it is the main cause of death worldwide.
