*The number of responses includes 591 respondents in the three metropolitan areas Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya who received and returned questionnaires in person and 425 responses via postal questionnaire in all other regions. As the source does not report the exact number of those who have bought detached houses, the number of respondents refers to those who have bought a pre-owned home, including apartments.
