The data represents responses to the question "What part(s) are causing any of your bicycles to be non-operational?" among respondents, who have a non-operational bike in their household. Multiple answers were possible.
*For the 2022 edition of the survey, a total of 15,871 adults living in the United States were surveyed. The survey was carried out in English.
Survey results were weighted for age, gender, region, income, and race and ethnicity to correspond to the 2021 population estimates of the U.S. Census Bureau's American Community Survey.
