Prospective manufacturing capacity of solar cells in the U.S. 2024-2026
The manufacturing capacity of solar cells in the United States is expected to reach 20 gigawatts in 2026. By that same year, the U.S. is projected to have a solar module manufacturing capacity of 60 gigawatts. Since Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) was passed, new solar cell and module manufacturing facilities have been announced across the country.
