According to this 2021 survey, the prevalence of depression among American physicians stood at ** percent. That year, ** percent of surveyed doctors had a mild depression, while a further ** percent had a moderate depression and *** percent had a severe depression. These depression scores are based on the Patient-Reported Outcomes Measurement Information System, a set of person-centered measures that evaluates and monitors physical, mental, and social health in adults and children.
