The source uses a database of sales records reported by more than 5,000 e-commerce stores, with detailed information on purchase orders, products, and amounts paid. Based on secondary sources from partner companies and e-commerce platforms, the source estimates the sales volume commercialized by other stores to produce figures for the entire Brazilian e-commerce market.
Estimates exclude the sales of airline tickets, hotels, classifieds, food delivery or transport apps, and sales of Mercado Livre and other companies that sell used or artisanal products.
