The LEGO Group drastically reduced the amount of waste generated by its factories going to landfill, despite a small setback in 2025. That year, the company set a target for less than **Â tons, but about ** tons' worth of waste (i.e., less than *** percent) ended up going directly from LEGO's factories to landfill. This is a significant decrease compared to just five years ago but an increase compared to the previous two years. Still, much of the waste produced by the company is either recycled, composted, or sent to non-landfill waste treatment alternatives.
