Two surveys were carried out to determine intended uses of the respective tickets. The survey on the 9-Euro-Ticket took place in June 2022 with 1,005 respondents. The survey on the Deutschlandticket took place in February 2023 with 1,009 respondents.
Includes respondents who indicated that they intended to buy the relevant ticket.
June 2022 survey margin of error +/-5 percentage points. February 2023 survey margin of error +/-5.9 percentage points.

A large proportion of people intending to buy the Deutschlandticket in early 2023 as well as the *** in the summer of 2022 planned to use the respective tickets for leisure purposes, in particular for day trips. Meanwhile, nearly half of survey respondents planning to buy the Deutschlandticket indicated that they were planning to use the ticket for their commute to work, while only a quarter of respondents who were planning to purchase the *** were intending to use it to get to work.
