Public transportation in Germany
After the 鈥渆conomic miracle鈥 in the second half of the 20th century, Germany has become a global powerhouse in different segments, including in the transport sector. A robust public transport system has supported the economic development of the country. Approximately 85.7 percent of the population in Germany had good access to public transport in 2022. In the country鈥檚 capital Berlin as much as 99.4 percent of the population was rated to have good access to public transport.
