The survey question was "Does the bank have an ESG strategy or has plans to come out with one (i.e. a strategy for embedding ESG principles into its business)?"
In a survey conducted during January 2022 across ** major scheduled commercial banks in India, it was found that ** percent of the banks had an ESG strategy in place. A majority of surveyed private sector banks had a strategy for embedding ESG principles into their business.
