The share of Russian women who wanted to have fewer children increased between 2017 and 2022. More specifically, when asked about how many children they would like to have, ** percent of women aged 18 to 44 years stated they would like to have only *** child in 2022. To compare, in 2017, the share of women who stated the same was measured at ** percent. Furthermore, less than ** percent of Russian women wanted to have children in 2022, percent less than in 2017.
