In 2021, a survey conducted in Tunisia found that majority of respondents felt that the government treated people unfairly based on their economic status. Approximately ** percent of people in both rural and urban areas felt that the government always treated people unfairly based on their financial situation. Additionally, around ** percent of the population said that this happened often. Overall, the majority of people in Tunisia felt that the gap between the rich and the poor was a serious issue in their society.
