As of December 2022, 56 percent of young male viewers of pornographic online material in England reported accessing this type of content by willingly looking for it online. By comparison, only 43 percent of female viewers reported doing the same. Additionally, over three in 10 female young users reported being sent or shown pornographic content involving the sender. In the case of male young adults and teens, around 20 percent reported being sent or shown pornographic content involving the sender.
