Opinion on nuclear energy based on political affiliation in Canada 2022
In 2022, the majority of the respondents to a survey conducted in Canada on support or opposition for the expansion of nuclear power generation supported the expansion of nuclear energy in the country. Specifically, a positive attitude toward this energy source was reported by more than ** percent of the respondents that voted for the Conservative Party of Canada (CPC) in 2021. More than half of the survey respondents that were affiliated with the Liberal Party of Canada and the New Democratic Party of Canada (NDC) were strongly in support of the expansion of nuclear power generation.
