The original question of the survey was: "Please tell us whether you support or oppose EXPANDING efforts to draw energy from each of the following sources: Nuclear power generation".

Figures on Prince Edward Island were not published by the source because of its small population.

Citation formats

The majority of the respondents to a survey conducted in Canada at the end of 2022 supported the expansion of nuclear power generation in the country. Namely, 59 percent of the total respondents supported this energy source. A positive attitude toward nuclear energy was expressed by over 70 percent of the respondents in the provinces of Saskatchewan, Alberta, and Ontario. In contrast, Quebec's survey results reported the highest rate of strong opposition to nuclear power.
In 2021, nuclear electricity generation in Canada accounted for approximately 15 percent of the national power production, with most of Canada's nuclear reactors located in Ontario.
