According to a survey of BeReal users conducted in September 2022 in the United Kingdom, Belgium, Germany, Spain, and France, over half of the respondents reported not posting immediately when they receive a BeReal notification, but waiting until they are engaging in an interesting activity. Additionally, over 14 percent of respondents reported posting a picture only when they wanted to see what other users had posted. Photo and social app BeReal send users one push notification per day and users need to share their own piece of content before being able to see what their contacts are posting.
