¹ R+V insurance surveys 2,400 citizens aged 14 and over about their biggest political, economic and personal worries for the anxiety index. The participants in the survey had to rate their anxiety about the predetermined topics on a scale of one to seven. The anxiety index was calculated from the total average of all anxieties.
In 2023, the anxiety index value for Germany was **. This was a decrease compared to the previous year. Numbers have been fluctuating over the timeline under review, with the highest values in 2003 and 2015.
