The labor force participation rate of men in Argentina remained stable around 74 and 75 percent between 1990 and 2006. However, from that year onwards, it took a slightly decreasing trend, falling to 70 percent in 2020. In the case of women, while the labor participation rate grew considerably during the 90s, it fell throughout the 2000s and ranged around 48 and 50 percent in the following years. In 2023, only half of the adult Argentinian women were economically active.
