Since households may fall into more than one category, the overall rate is lower than the sum of the individual rates.

³ According to the source, people are considered at risk of poverty if their equivalised net household income is below 60 percent of the median.

⁴ According to the source, a household is considered to have very low work intensity (also known as a jobless household) if the actual work participation of working-age household members (excluding students and retirees) is less than 20 percent of the maximum possible (potential) work participation.
