The Travel & Tourism Development Index (TTDI) 2024 is the second edition of an index that evolved from the Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Index (TTCI) series, a flagship index of the World Economic Forum that has been in production since 2007. The TTDI is part of the Forum’s broader work with industry and government stakeholders to build a more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient future for economies and local communities.
The Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Index (TTCI) aims to measure the factors and policies that make it attractive to develop the travel & tourism sector in different countries. The index is made up of five sub-indices: Enabling Environment; Travel and Tourism Policy and Enabling Conditions; Infrastructure; Travel and Tourism Demand Drivers; and Travel and Tourism Sustainability. 117 countries are evaluated. The Index scores on a scale from 1 to 7 with 7 being the best rating.
Only indices of up to 3.2 points were considered in this statistic.
