The Northeastern state of Pernambuco was the federative unit with the largest unemployment rate in the first quarter of 2025, with 12 percent. Bahia and ±Ê¾±²¹³Üà followed with 10.9 and 10.2 percent. In total, four states had an unemployment rate above ten percent in the first quarter of 2025. Furthermore, the Northeast of Brazil was the region with the highest unemployment rate.
