As of October 2022, almost half (49 percent) of adults surveyed in the United States said they either "somewhat" or "strongly" disagreed that a woman should be cast as James Bond to help diversity roles in Hollywood and entertainment. Meanwhile, little less than one-third (32 percent) of respondents reported agreeing with that line of thought. Nearly one-fifth (19 percent) of the interviewees did not have an answer or an opinion on the matter.
