In 2021, Children's hospitals in China received more than ** million patient visits, after being impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Although more children's hospitals were commissioned in the last decade, such hospitals remained operating at full capacity, with more than ** percent of beds constantly occupied, and pediatricians working under excessive pressure to meet the demands of the patients.
