Denmark produced a total of 3.4 million cubic meters of crude oil in 2023. This represented a significant decline since Denmark's oil production peaked at 22.6 million cubic meters in 2004. Oil extraction in the Danish part of the North Sea began in 1972, and is set to end by 2050 due to the country's climate commitments.
