In 2021, about nine percent of respondents who belong to the 60 percent richest in Indonesia claimed to have used the internet to pay bills in the past year. In comparison, the usage rate of the internet to pay bills among respondents who belong to the 40 percent poorest in the archipelago was around five percent.
