While the Roe versus Wade ruling, which ensured the right to abortion in the United States, has just been overturned, the IPSOS polling institute and the Jean Jaurès Foundation have questioned the French about their attitude towards abortion. It appears that more than **** out of five French people are in favor of the principle of allowing Voluntary Interruption of Pregnancy (abortion) by French law. This proportion is higher among those who voted for Yannick Jadot and Emmanuel Macron in the first round of the 2022 presidential elections, and lower among those who voted for Eric Zemmour and Valérie Pécresse.
