According to a survey in March 2022 in China, nearly half of the surveyed fresh e-commerce users said they shopped on Alibaba's fresh produce platform Hema Fresh. In comparison, only less than a quarter of respondents stated that they use JD.com's fresh commerce app JD Daojia.
