More than half of respondents above 40 years old believed the 9-euro ticket would have no long-term effect on people's use of public transport across Germany. By contrast, over half of 18 to 29 years old respondents to a June 2022 survey thought there would be either a positive or negative impact from the 9-euro ticket. German rail mobility had spiked in June 2022 as a result of the 9-euro ticket initiative.
