Following the #Metoo movement, which resulted in a wave of testimonies from women denouncing sexual assault and harassment from 2017 onwards, after the revelations about the American producer Harvey Weinstein, the hashtag #Metooincest generated a proliferation of testimonies from victims of incest on social networks. When asked about this issue at the end of 2021, the French were relatively unanimous (** percent) about the fact that this hashtag had a positive impact on the evolution of laws aimed at protecting child victims of sexual violence.
