Supplementary notes
Current climate policies are projected to lead to global warming of about three degrees Celsius in 2100.
According to the source, estimates are "based on an econometric model that is
based on the relationship between GDP growth and temperature, without accounting for the possible impacts of extreme events. Incorporating climate extremes such as droughts, floods or storms that could have an even more detrimental impact on economic performance".
The source also adds: "It is also worth keeping in mind that no adaptation measures which could potentially alleviate some of the damage are incorporated here".
