New car buyer satisfaction with their shopping experience peaked amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, reaching ** percent satisfaction among U.S. respondents in 2020. Used car buyer satisfaction followed a similar pattern, shooting to ** percent that same year. However, satisfaction across both categories dipped during the automotive chip shortage in 2021.
