Sachet water was the most popular improved drinking water source in Ghana as of 2021. Around 37 percent of over eight million people in the country mainly used this source, followed by boreholes (17.7 percent) and public taps (12.7 percent). Overall, the majority of the population drank water from improved water sources compared to unimproved ones.
