Adults' preference for sons or daughters 2020, by state
According to a survey carried out in 2020 by the Pew Research Centre in India, 100 percent of respondents from Chhattisgarh preferred having at least one son over at least one daughter in the family. By contrast, in Delhi, people felt that having at least one daughter was more important than having a son.
