ASEAN stands for Association of Southeast Asian Nations and is a political and economic union composed of the ten member states Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
In 2023, Brunei accounted for the highest share of intra-regional foreign direct investment (FDI) in the ASEAN region, with about **** percent. Comparatively, the Philippines had a share of around *** percent of intra-regional FDI among the ASEAN countries in the same year.
