Two thirds of Belarusians were against Russian armed forces shelling Ukraine from the territory of Belarus, according to a survey from March 2022. In general, four out of ten Belarusians did not like the wide presence of the Russian military in their country. An approximately equal share of respondents found their presence a threat to neutrality of Belarus. One quarter of survey participants stated the majority of their acquaintances supported the deployment of Russian troops in Belarus.
