Global share of rare earth element consumption for batteries 2016-2024
In 2024, roughly ****percent of the global consumption of rare earth elements (REE) was attributable to battery alloy production. This was a large decrease compared to the previous year, when batteries accounted for a nearly percent share of the total global consumption of REEs.
