Between 2016 and 2020, the number of French citizens established in the Ukrainian capital has fluctuated slightly, but has changed little overall. They were *** in 2016 and *** five years later.
Considering the current circumstances in Kyiv, this number may decrease in 2022. At the beginning of March 2022, the French Minister of Foreign Affairs actually encouraged the French citizens still in Ukraine to leave the country, without however providing them with the assurance of their repatriation or the safety of the journey.
