As of 2022, the largest proportion of natural gas supplied in Ghana was derived from production. This means that, the country heavily depends on the local production of natural gas in ensuring its supply. On the other hand, around 14.5 percent of the supply was from natural gas imports. Overall, in the reflected year, natural gas rents represented approximately 0.4 percent of Ghana's GDP.
