*The subject of the analysis was 12 categories (baked goods, dairy products, meat, fruits, vegetables, dry goods, fatty products, food additives, stimulants, beverages, household chemicals, and other articles) and 51 of the most frequently chosen everyday products by consumers. In 2022, a total of nearly 24,000 retail prices from nearly 41,000 stores belonging to 63 retail chains were collated. The survey covered all discounters, hypermarkets, supermarkets, convenience, and cash-and-carry chains present on the market, operating in 16 provinces in Poland. In 2023, nearly 56,000 retail prices from nearly 30,000 stores belonging to 57 retail chains were analyzed.
As of December 2024, household chemistry became the most expensive in Poland. The price of bread increased by nearly **** percent from the previous year. Meat prices increased by *** percent and fats prices increased by nearly **** percent year-on-year.
