Employees who worked from home for the first time because of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic were not included in the definition of mobile work. Also not included were activities related to the transport of people or goods.
According to a survey conducted in Germany in 2020, the majority of respondents stated that they exclusively worked on site and had been assigned a fixed desk in their company. However, mobile working was not uncommon either, with just over ** percent of respondents stating that their job also included types of remote work, such as home office, business trips and client visits, among others.
