The source adds the following information: "The score for each provider was based on the publicly available information that could be found in four categories, which looked at the following questions:
Environmental reporting (max 25 points): does it report its environmental impact, and does it have targets to reduce it?.
Carbon management and reporting (max 35): does it report its emissions, and does it invest in fossil fuels?
Transparency and ethical lending policies (max 30): does it report all of its lending? Is it helping its customers to be more environmentally-friendly?.
Company ethos (max 10): is the provider a building society, B Corporation, or have another not-for-profit structure?."
