Included in the survey were 2,993 private businesses with a turnover of at least ten million euros in 53 countries in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. 200 private businesses from nine Sub-Saharan African countries were included and form the findings of this survey. This survey included 185 of all respondents.

In a survey conducted in 2019, the majority of respondents in the private business sector in Sub-Saharan Africa declared that they would invest between to **** percent of overall investments to digitalization, as those made up to ** percent of total respondents. On the other hand, ** percent said they would rather allocate less than *** percent of total investments to digital development. Nevertheless, ** percent expressed readiness to invest more than **** percent.
