A June 2021 study investigated the most common reasons for the lack of engagement with women's sports when compared to men's sports in the United States. Overall, ** percent of survey respondents indicated less media coverage as the reason behind their unequal engagement with women's sports. Only ** percent of survey participants reported slower games as the reason why they engaged more with men's sports than women's sports.
