However, since mid October 2021, Indonesian government has opened Bali and other tourist destinations for international tourists. Since then, the number of international visitor arrivals in Indonesia has increased, reaching around ** million international tourists in 2024, indicating a strong recovery in the tourism industry from the impact of the pandemic.
