Among the Russians surveyed in August 2022, only two percent had been to the United States and 13 percent had visited Western Europe. Furthermore, one third of respondents reported having traveled to other regions. One of the most popular outbound destinations of Russians was Turkey. In 2021, over 4.7 million tourists from Russia visited Turkey.
